Multilingual property

Where are different languages needed? If you want to address international prospective buyers, you have to place the properties in different language or multilingual portals. Another possibility is to have your own multilingual website, which will display the correct contents of the property in the chosen language.

For multilingual brochures please contact your sales contact person.

The language of a property when creating it can be different, depending on the user (user settings) who creates it and on the general specifications (one language or all available languages). In the settings you will find a description of the possibilities.

You can have the free texts of the property translated automatically .

Select the language of the property

In which language of the property am I currently viewing? The answer is given by the action bar. In the lower right corner the language is displayed as a flag symbol. For tabs such as “Interested parties” or “property agent’s book”, no language selection or flag symbol is displayed, as their content is independent of the language of the property.

Using the “Multilingualism” menu in the action bar, you can open the list of available languages for the property and switch to it by clicking. The view is updated and displayed in the new language. For the new language the corresponding flag symbol is displayed.

Add and remove languages

You can subsequently change the language versions of a property. For this purpose, there are the entries “Add all” and “Create other languages” in the menu “Multilingualism” in the action bar for specific changes.

“Add all” creates all languages that are activated in the basic settings.

To add or delete individual languages, go to “Create other languages”. This opens the popup with the list of possible languages – this also includes those already created.
Already created languages show a check mark. Click on the desired language to create it. The action is executed directly, no saving is necessary. Click “Close” to close the popup.

You can only remove a language if you have the right to delete the property. Please open the popup via “Create other languages”. A trashcan symbol is available for all created languages. Click on it to delete the corresponding language. Attention: The action is executed directly, no saving is necessary. Click “Close” to close the popup.

onOffice now offers the translation function of DeepL to automatically translate free texts of property.

Publish property in multiple languages

Own website

You have a website from onOffice? Then this is very easy for your website. As soon as the website is multilingual, your properties will automatically be displayed in the corresponding languages. The foreign language texts in the property must be stored for this purpose.

For multilingual websites please contact your sales contact person.

In the portal configuration Tools >> Settings >> Basic Settings >> Tab Portals you can define the languages. There are 2 variants, which is necessary for the desired portal, you can find out from the portal operator.

  • Variant 1: Define the language via the selection in the configuration of the portal. You must create a portal for each language you want to use and enter the language accordingly. Advantage: You can only publish the property in individual languages.
  • Variant 2: Enable multi-language export in the configuration of the portal. If the checkbox is activated, any settings in the language selection above it are ignored. The property is then automatically transferred to the portal in all created languages.

Multi-language module and multi-object module

If a unit is newly created in a base property, it is created in the languages that are created in the base property. If you link an existing property as a unit with the base property, the languages of the base property are created for the unit, just as they are when you create a new one. Languages that were already present in the property before remain.
