onOffice Services – Gender API

Inhaltsverzeichnis

Description

No indication in the salutation? No problem! By connecting the Gender API to onOffice enterprise, you can address your customers and prospects correctly. The service recognizes the gender of your address data record based on the first name. With just one click, the Gender API updates the salutation via a mass update if it contains “No specification”.

The service automatically starts a global match if it cannot assign a first name to the specified region. If this does not produce any results either, it uses various filters to check other spellings of the name. This ensures the highest possible hit rate so that your data records are always correct and complete.

Advantages of the Gender API:

✅ Correct customer approach
✅ Efficient data maintenance at the touch of a button
✅ High hit rate thanks to global matching

Say goodbye to incorrect salutations and improve your customer communication – activate the Gender API now for free here in the Marketplace!

Utilization:

After activation, you will find the service in the menu bar under Marketplace >> Gender API >> Gender API.

Gender API - Open service

When you call up the service, a pop-up window opens. There you can see how many data records contain “Not specified” in the salutation, divided into master data 1 and 2.

Gender API - Popup data records without salutation
Click on the “Update salutation” button to start the process and the Gender API will determine the appropriate salutation.

Gender API - Update salutations

As soon as the service is ready, you will receive a message that the salutations have been updated.

Gender API - update completed

If a first name cannot be assigned to a gender, the Gender API will inform you of this. This can happen in rare cases despite global synchronization. Reasons for this are, for example, an empty “First name” field or very rare or exotic first names.

Gender API - Process not successful
To improve the quality of the Gender API, we recommend maintaining the country correctly in the data set. As there can be regional differences in the same names, this helps to correctly identify the gender.
